Hello to all
Find enclosed few photos taken in FLUSHING between the 1st and 3rd november 2014. Cermonies for
the 70th anniversary of the landing in WALCHEREN ( Netherland )
Pat CHURCHILL 4 Cdo, and René ROSSEY ( Free French Commandos ) were there.
But too, several children of French and British commandos. SIDE BY SIDE
It was a wonderful time there. The meeting, and dinner with the children and Pat CHURCHILL was great.
Best wishes

It will be a big trouble to drive around Ouistreham etc.... the 6th of june.
The Official 70th anniversary of D.Day ceremony will take place in OUISTREHAM. with 17 presidents and politicians.
Roads will be closed
9000 people invited, but for all who are going there every year and not for only the "big" ceremonies, it will be impossible.
I'm not a politician and know any politician so, couldn't attend the ceremonies.

Hello SAM,
I met yesterday evening in Ouistreham Bert BEDDOWS 3 Cdo 4 Troop, but he didn't recall your grandad.
Don't know if you've seen this photo before, but your grandad is on.

Hello
I laid flowers on F. ROBBINS's grave in June or August, and at Christmas each year.
I met his daughter few years ago, and we are since in touch. I introduced her to Jim CLINTON 4 Troop and
it was a "special" time for both, because Jimmy was near her dad when he died.
I send to you a private mail

Hello Sam,
I'm in touch with the daughter of Frederik ROBBINS 3 Cdo 4 Troop KIA 20 08 1944 near DOZULE. So, maybe he is the ROBIN you'd mentioned
I know and have copy about the photo where we can see your grandad after the Dieppe Raid in august 1942.
Best wishes
