Frank Churchill has asked me to pass along his sincere apologies for not informing everyone personally about his Mum. He added that Mum had touched so many people's hearts that there are so many to contact and it it is a little overwhelming.

God bless Patrick and Frank giving them comfort, strength and giving happy memories of a wonderful lady in the days to come.

Bill Harvey whose father was in No 4.
Can I thank all who work so hard for the website and others who give their time as volunteers.

What a great job you do to remember those Commandos who served so we can have freedom. Not only WW2 but all of them since.

A grateful Commando Bairn.

Bill

Dear Cheryl

This is an archive of great importance with a wonderful team that work hard getting photos and information onto it for the relatives of all the Commandos from WW2 to the present day.

United we Conquer.

Pete and NIck have forwarded email to you.

"Hello,

Your email was given to me when I visited the Commando museum in Spean bridge .

I am researching my Dads war history ; he died last year aged 90 not having spoken too much about it. I have his record now and it states Commando 12/44. He certainly spoke of being at Achnacarry in Winter which would fit. By Dec 44 he would have been 18 however he always told us he?d put up his age and my impression was that he was involved earlier. I am pursuing the possibility that he was in SOE prior to his record ?Official? starting.

Do you have the records of Achnacarry from the end of 44 or any photos?. I'd be most interested if you did.

I look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Piers Renshaw"

Best wishes.

Thanks to Jochem Schmetz who laid the CVA wreath for No 4 Commando French and British and to all in Flushing who turned out to remember all who gave their lives for liberation and all our freedom. A large crowd attended.
