My late father Robert Donnison joined no5 Commando from the Lincolnshire regiment in October 1941 according to his Commando Service Certificate. Does this mean he wouldnt have trained at Achnacarry as I see it opened in 1942?

One eBay i often see Commando items for sale , even fridge magnets ! The original knives are quite expensive now . I wonder what happened to my dad's
id like to know what other son's of commandos have from their dad. I still have his old paybook badges,. his service cetticate etc Which I will treasure forever,
my dad was in No5 too Good to see they are remembered
