Stan Scott says 3 Commando, for the D-Day landings, boarded LCI( S) numbers 501, 509, 512, 535 and 538. The 3 Commando War Diary says 3 Commando boarded LCI(S) 289, 290, 291, 292 and 293. Does anyone know a source which would clarify, for each boat, which 5xx number corresponds to which 2xx number
