Hi Marc

We do not have access to official Service Records so cannot check for you. However you can apply for a copy. Have a good read through our section on Service Records below:

http://www.commandoveterans.org/ServiceRecords

If you have any photos why not post them here as they may give clues.

Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.

Hi Marc

You will see an email link directly below this message. Just click on that and send them as attachments with as much detail as is known about each. Also could you provide the first and middle name of your Grandfather please.

Marc

If he landed at sword beach he could have been with 45 RMC 1st Special Service Brigade under the command of Lord Lovat. But as Pete says go for his service record.

Best wishes on your search.

Bill.
