It is with much sadness that we advise you of the recent death of Jack Rescorle, aged 92, who served as a Private in No. 6 Commando. Jack died on Monday 27th August the day before his 93rd birthday. Our sincere condolences to his son Michael, and all his Family and friends.
Michael adds that his Father joined in 1943 and, while badged Wiltshire Regiment, never served with them due to volunteering for the commandos. After training at Achnacarry, he fought with 6 Troop 6 Commando until being badly wounded in March 1945. His Father wore his commando beret, badge and tie with great pride whenever he could but especially at remembrance services in Camborne, Cornwall. Post war Jack was a Farmer and despite his war wounds (he still had pieces of shrapnel inside his body) he led a full and active life. He was very, very tough.
Rest in peace Jack.

Rescorle is a Cornish surname.
Jack was wounded on the 22nd March 1945. Pte. John Robson, also of 6 Troop, 6 Commando was killed in the same incident.
