Thanks for sharing.

Are you able to scan a higher resolution image of the picture on page 21 of the JungleBook "1 Troop of No. 5 Commando" ?
There is another scan of this book here http://www.commandoveterans.org/cdoForum/posts/list/3322.page but the image is not that much better.


The background in the jungle book looks a bit like this picture http://www.commandoveterans.org/cdoGallery/v/units/5/India+or+Burma+1.png.html i.e two trees, a pole in the middle and to the right possibly a roof.

Sorry for the late reply - what with rebuilding my pc and buying a house in december - things have settled down. I'll take a look and see if i can scan a better image this weekend..
