All he knows was that he was married in 39/40 and later joined the RM and served 3 months at Southsea at some stage during his career. So far I have found that he was mentioned in Despatches in the London Gazette in Dec 1945 but draw a blank on everything else. Besides gaining his service record which we are in the process of doing (takes upto 6 months) can anybody shed any light on ALifted please?
