He died in Windsor, Berkshire in 2007 and took his story with him. Apart from being mentioned in dispatches in 1946, and some peacetime anecdotes, I know little about his war. I have always been curious about how a boy from Surrey ended up in the Royal Ulster Rifles in the first place. I did notice while watching 'Rogue Heroes' that Paddy Mayne and Eoin McGonegal were also with the Royal Ulster Rifles. I realise this is a long shot 80 years on, but wonder if anyone knows where I could go to research him further? I am in NZ.
