Hi,

I'm looking for information on my father-in-law who claimed he was a commando during WW2. There may have been some untidiness possibly a courts martial in his career. Does anyone have any knowledge if George Edward Ralph served in any of the commando regiments, if so which one and whether there are any records of courts martials? He told me he was busted from Captain to Private but I have never found any information about his war service.

cheers.
My Father-in-Law, George Edward Ralph spoke of being in the Commandos during the war. I'm trying to research the family history and want clarify what he did. The RBL found out for us that he was in the Royal West Kents until Dunkirk, then his records say he went into the Recce Corps and then into the Pioneer Corps. We understand he may have been busted from Captain to Private, possibly by Lord Lovat?? Can anyone recall any information about him actually being in the Commandos or know anything of his courts martial?
Thanks.
