I would like to give thanks to Memorial 40-45 Kapelle who have arranged this program to let us know what is happening for the 80th Commemoration of the landing at Flushing. Jochem has contacted Dominique me to initially find out numbers and names as we did for the 75th Commemoration so to enable them to give numbers to those they are in contact with e.g. Councils, Meal, Travel etc. Jochem receives the wreaths from the Commando Association and arranges them to be laid at the agreed places. I have listed the outline program below full times will be issued to those attending.
It is suggested that we stay in Vlissingen and use the bus on Friday 25th October that is why we need numbers and where people are staying this will keep our group together.. From family John
Just a thought for John. If Henry was "Pop" he'd have had a North East accent as he was from Sunderland, hadn't been living on Yorkshire too long before going off to war so probably wouldn't have lost the accent.

Dear John
The relatives have been contacted they do not know if he was called Pops.
"Hi Bill, nobody seems to be aware of the pop nickname but perhaps that could have been something the lads referred to him as. Would be nice to think it might have been him. Would be nice to know what memories he has of No.4 in general".
If you have any memories if you record them I can pass them on.
Best wishes.
