Hi all,

Im doing a bit of research and am looking for photographs of Royal Marines in Aden at the withdrawal in 1967.

My Dad, Ivan Clark joined up in 1966 and his first posting was to Aden and he served in Z Coy of 45 until the withdrawal in November. We have a photo of him (attached - sat in passenger seat), but that's it; and as he turns 80 next year, I would love to be able to find other photos of 45, and in particular that company to show him and bring back memories.

If anyone has any photos they would be willing to share, I would be very grateful!

As an aside, he was a VM by trade, so if anyone has photos of Coypool VM's up until 1988 (when he left) that would be amazing as well!

Many thanks for your time,

Chris

Hi Chris

Unfortunately whilst we have a few earlier in the 60's we do not have any from Aden circa 1967 so you might also want to try the RM Historical Society. The link to their website page (with links at the bottom to their Facebook page) is here https://www.rmhistoricalsociety.org/

Our gallery is here: https://gallery.commandoveterans.org/cdoGallery/v/laterday/RM+Commandos/45+Cdo/

If you post a another photo of your father (civvies is fine if you have no other) with his dates of service and number I will add both to the archive if you wish.

Hi Pete,

Many thanks for getting back to me - much appreciated! Thanks for the links - I will drop the historical society a line and see what they may have!

I'll find a "suitable" photo soon :) In the mean time, Ivan Clark, PO25119L; Served 1966-1988.

Thanks again for your time,

Chris
