Does anybody have any info on RN Beach Commandos Unit U. My Father Sub Lt Potter-Irwin F D (on the left with Bernie??) in Rothesay or Glasgow during training at HMS Quebeque, Inveraray, Argyll and HMS Armadillo, Glenfinart. He was at Courselles sur Mer, Juno beach 6th June 1944, landing with the Canadians, till August that year. I am going there for the 80th D Day Commemorations this year to honour his memory and I am researching all I can before I go. I was born 4 years and 11 days after he landed. (so he survived!)
