I am planning a memorial on the 80th anniversary of the Oran landing by SBS 2.
The team consisted of 11, including my father Lt. JCC Pagnam, and Commander Capt. Harry Holden-White.
I am trying to ascertain the remaining members. If you can help, please let me know. Also, if you know of any living descendants I might contact.
This would mean a great deal to me.
Thank you!

HM Sub Walney ; Holden-Wjite, Cpl's D C Ellis, Sidlow, Wright, Blewett, Loadsby and Sgt. J Embelin.

HM Sub Harland ; JCC Pagnam, Lt. E J A Lunn, Sgt. A Milne and Cpl. L Bates.

After the op the survivors had to make their own passage home via Gibraltar and ended up on the Ettrick which torpedoed and they returned to Gib finally making it home via a USAAF Liberator.

Dear Alan,
Thank you so much, all 11 persons and exactly what I needed.
I did know about the repatriation via Gibraltar.

I am writing a book about the landing, as my father was involved. So I have a lot of information about him, Holden-White, and currently researching the remainder.

How did you come about the names? If you don't mind me asking.
I just wondered if you had some kind of connection.

You can e-mail me at [email protected] if you would prefer.
Either way, doesn't bother me.

Hi Joe,

No connection, the operation is recorded in the book SBS in World War 2 by G B Courtney.

Oh yes. My father gave me that book a number of years ago.
I didn't think of looking.
In any case, it is good to connect to others via this Forum.

Thanks again.
