I first began searching in 2010 with not much luck and shamefully allowed my interest to wane due to the fact I had purchased his Army record. I now intend to follow up the 4 books I have written since retirement in 2015 with my dad's life story. He was posted to 12 Commando in November 1941 from 7th Btn 09/10/1940 if I understand what is written in his Statement of the Services, then onto 12 Commando 14/11/1941.

Hi

We do not have your father listed at the moment so can I ask you to either send me by email (see email button below my name) the scans of the documents/photos you now have showing his Commando service or should you prefer post them here as attachments. Then I can add a fitting tribute to your Father.

Pete

Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
