Malcolm advises us of the sad news of the passing of John Douglas Graham on 23 August 2021. Our thoughts are with, and condolences go to, all his family and friends.

John Douglas Graham passed away peacefully on 23rd August 2021, at Kendal Care Home, aged 98 years. Member of No.4 Commando, D-Day Veteran, and Legion of Honour recipient. Very much-loved brother, uncle, and friend to so many in Ambleside village and beyond. Funeral to take place at St. Mary's Church, Ambleside on Monday 13th September at 11.00am. Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
