Hi and thanks for the excellent photo which includes your Father and for the link to the nominal roll. I will add the photo to the No.3 Commando gallery in due course, The No.3 Commando Gallery has other similar photos from that location so worth checking them out in case you find him there. I do know your Father joined the original Commando Association as he is mentioned in their 1954 newsletter as still serving in the Army. I have attached an extract below. Are you able to provide a bit more detail about your Father, dates of birth etc., service number if known, and Regiment from which he volunteered for the Commandos. Also a good photo of your that you would like to be attached alongside his Commando Service Certificate and of course your name so as I can include it alongside the credit.

Thanks for the photo and details. I have reformatted the photo as it was displaying too large for the message. It seems strange to ask but is your father still with us. I never like to assume because whenever I have done I get it invariably wrong. Also ordinarily I would place the name of the person providing the photos in the credit as you will see in the gallery. I can do this if you provide your name but if you do not wish to can you let me know if you are son or daughter.

Hi Pete, yes that?s fine. Adrian Stowe I?m Ken?s son.

Sadly he passed in 1979 at only 52yrs old.

He?d served 25yrs and just retired from the army and was working at Bromsgrove School at the time.

Sorry about the photo the upload limit of 1mb meant I had to use an image hosting site and it messed up the size.
