Can anyone give any information on Stalag 101.
I cannot find any references regarding location and/or purpose.
Commando Pte.D.ALTASS,KOYLI ,6 Cdo was the only commando to be imprisoned there,after being captured at Steamroller Farm.

Like you Graham I could not find anything when I created the page for Private Altass other than a wiki reference to there being one for a few months in France in 1940. However each of the Prisoner of War reports references the same 101.

Even the List of German PoW Camps at the front of that folder does not mention it.

Unfortunately whilst there is a record of him initially being in an Italian PoW Camp before the Italian Armistice there is no Camp number shown

101 is also referenced on a comprehensive list of camps here, once as a Transit camp and the other as:
327 Reserve Lazaret 101 (Serves Stalag 3-B) Furstenberg Brandenburg, Prussia 52-14. A Lazaret I believe is a German military hospital for PoWs.
