Does anyone recognize the name of the No 3 Commando mentioned in this letter?

Hello.

Looking for a little assistance.

While researching the years my Father was a Commando (William M.P. McGunnigle) No 7, No 4 and No 10, my mother passed me this letter she received from my father's youngest brother. I am hoping that someone might recognize the two Commandos mentioned in the letter. I can't find any reference on the Commando Veteran's website of the one referred to by name, either a Ron or Don, Puttery or Puttey or Pottey, No 3 Commando. Just hoping someone might be able to connect the dots.
