Hi all

I am writing on behalf of an American friend of mine Jackie McGinnis Schulze, who has asked me to post a message and photo on this site concerning her uncle, who was an American volunteer with No1 Commando.

"William D. Mc Ginnis aka Bill, Bud, Slick taken in Dundee Scotland
during training with the Commandos.
He and other American volunteers were part of Operation Torch, the
invasion of North Africa, 1942."

She would be very grateful if any one on this site has any information however trivial concerning her uncle or indeed any of the other American Commando volunteers.

Many thanks

Andy
