It is with great sadness that I inform of the passing away of a fellow CVA member and friend Frank Farmborough, formerly No 4 Commando, of East Harling, Norwich. Frank was in regular contact with the CVA and in his most recent letter (Feb) wrote:
'I am coming up for 87 years old. I have had so many narrow escapes in my life that I have become a fatalist and I firmly believe that your name and date are written in the book and there is nothing you can do about it. I read the Telegraph obituary every morning and if my name is not there, I know I'm still here.'
God bless you Frank.
A card on behalf of the CVA members has been sent to Frank's family and I have ordered a paver to be placed in Frank's memory in the CVA Commando Memorial at Alrewas.
