In our continued efforts to raise funds for the memorial wall there will be a few more small auctions over the coming days/weeks. I have not added any reserve prices however I would ask that bids are made charitably so that we get a fair winning bid. Package and posting will be included in winning bid. Please pass on the message of the auction so that we can get as many people bidding as possible.

Auction 3:

We have an original Commando Association Tie (unworn in original wrapper) and Cravat. These are now very rare and would be a great gift for a father or grandfather or as a general keepsake.

The tie and cravat will be delivered to the winning bidder on receipt of the winning bid amount to CVA HQ

The auction will run until close on Sun 24 March at 21.00 hrs

Can we start the bid at £25.00

Please bid generously, this really is for a fabulous cause.

Geoff

If I have praised my comrades too highly I make no apology, for they were beyond all praise.

Time's up!

You'll know me in November ... I'll be the lady sporting a rather nifty Commando Association cravat. :)

Waiting patiently for mine. :) (Can't find a finger-tapping, whistling smiley)

Perhaps I'll receive the latest newletter with the items? Hint, hint.

Erm .... so you did! :D However, it's in that PDF thingy - won't let me open it for long enough to print it.

Here's me waiting for it to be delivered through the letterbox. Call me old-fashioned.

I shall keep trying ... and thank you, Nick - I'd forgotten it was in my Hotmail doodah.

I hope I don't get a scan of that cravat - I'll not be able to wear THAT at Spean Bridge, eh?

Wehey! What d'ya think - rather nifty-looking, eh? :)

Thank you, Geoff ... items received a couple of minutes ago and I'm sitting here wearing the cravat. Excellent!

And .... I'd sent away for a sketch of our Lads picking up that American pilot from the sea at Dieppe - by Brian Mullen. Got it from America in the post too, and it's great!

I'm as happy as Larry this morning.
