Hello,


I'm surprise and disappointed than any tribute to PAT PORTEOUS VC 4 cdo can be seen
at the Varengeville battery ( Dieppe raid 19 08 1942 ).

I think a plaque coud be display there to explain his action there.

Hope, in the future, we could see this.

There is a road named after him along the coast at Berneval-le-Grand though: Avenue du Captain Portheous.

Yes Julie, I know that. But the action of Pat PORTEOUS was at VARENGEVILLE.

The village of BERNEVAL has a wonderful council with a Mayor Mr. PHILIPPE who's doing a great job to commemorate commandos.

They received veterans and families with great honor.
