Hello Everyone
Please follow the link below to read Brig. Ken Trevors memoirs of the battle of Hill 170, Kangaw Burma.
This was made available by his son Simon.

I also have Brig. Peter Youngs, Ken Trevors second in Command, narrative which I am trying to prepare for uploading.

Here is a link to a picture submitted by Philip Bacon, son of Albert William Bacon of No.1 Commando. It is a copy of the Special Order of the Day issued to thank 3 Commando Brigade for their actions at Akyab, Myebon, the Battle of Kangaw, and the Arakan coast. I have created a new sub album for such significant documents and placed it for the time being in the Badges and Memorabilia Main Album.

Chris Bennett son, of Philip Bennett of 42 RM Commando has recently sent in some pictures of his father's time in 42 RM Commando. He has also kindly provided us with a transcript of a letter to his wife written after the actions at Kangaw. The letter gives an indication of how ferocious the fighting was.
The letter is now in our Personal Letters album within the Letters, Documents ,Reports, Maps, Certificates Gallery

For the benefit of others on the forum I have received a private message from Ken Booth's son and have responded to him accordingly.
