A second way Out

Hi everyone

I have recently been going through my correspondence that I shared with my late friend Sgt John Huntington 12 and 1 Cdo and thought this snippet worth sharing.

JM 'Was there ever any second thoughts about your choice to join the Commandos?'

JH 'Well you could ask for RTU (Return To Unit) which was viewed as a disgaceful failure and all that entailed back at the Regiment. The only other way out was DEATH , I chose the latter.'

Just about sums them up.........Heroes.
