Hi all

Another recent purchase can anyone throw any light on the signatures, also does anyone know where was the Commando base at Wrexham?

Cheers

A very interesting menu and, judging by the fare, one for the Officer's Mess.

There are a few interesting signatures as far as I, personally, am concerned.

There is one who has quite clearly written 5 Cdo as part of his signature - I would love to know who that is...

Another, very flamboyant, signature features on quite a few Commando Service Certificates - second from bottom of the first page, grey ink but the 'E' is crossed so that it resembles a Union Flag.

Turn the menu upside down and one signature simply states "Dopey" - I believe this is Lt 'Dopey' Rose of No5 Cdo. Apparently thus named because he resembled one of the Seven Dwarfs. unfortunately no other info is available at this time.

I think I spot a signature that may be of Captain Hutchison Burt MC of No.4 Cdo. along the centre fold. See our gallery page on him:
