Hi again

Harry Winch was in 12 Commando and the SSRF. I am going to see Harry shortly after Christmas. I will take a copy of the photo or my lap-top and query this with him, in a hope he can ID some men in the photo.

A few years back I was in telephone conversation with Ted Simms who is in the photo of 4 (para) troop 12 Commando in the gallery.

Ted proudly told me that 'in the morning we (12 Cdo) were on parade and the CO asked for volunteers for parachute training and in unison the whole of the commando stepped forward'... and then added 'that's the sort of men we were'

sort of sums things up.
