The Green Jackets like most British regiments are steeped in military history, hence my interest in anything military. today the RGJ are no more amalgamate in to the 'The Rifles' My main interest is the first world war TA particularly 47th & 56th (1st/2nd London Division) but during Covid lock down I started to traced family and ancestor who fought in WW1,at present 109, an ongoing project for me. Of the 109 family members one third were killed another third wounded. during my research I also found a couple MM(military Medals) won, which made it even more interesting My interest in this particular web forum is because of a close friend who's dad was a captain in 10 Commando connected to the Polish troop. she has ask me for my help in tracking down her dads war records which has been a problem.
