On leaving i went to university and started a career in education which enabled me to work throughout the country and abroad particularly in Europe and many of the former Easter Block countries. I retired in 2011. I belong to a group consisting of Black fellow Royal Marines who are keen to research the first Black Man to win the Green Beret.
