Biography: My father L/CPL Alfred John Crosby was in B troop 7 Commando,service number (3771804).He went on a mission near Bardia on the Egypt,Libya border.Then onto Crete to assist with evacuations where he was injured,later in life getting bone cancer possibly from scrapnel still in his spine at age 46,he passed away at 56 years old in Wellington,New Zealand.He was awarded the Africa star,War medal 1939-1945 and the 1939-1945 Star.
