Son of WW2 Commando, with no idea what areas of activity he was involved in during this period. He died in 1998 and prior to that he regularly went to, and laterally I took him and some of his comrades to Spean Bridge memorial each year. He was a life member of the Old Comrades Association of Army Commandos, membership no. 4964. He never spoke about his wartime activities, but his letters to my late mother shows he was a Cameronian, then Commando and from 1942 in Karachi, 1943 India Command, 1944 South East Asia to 1945. |
