I attained my coveted Green Beret in the Jan of 99, deployed to KOSOVO thereafter and returned in the March of 2000. I then married my wife of 7 years Elly in the 2001 and yet again deployed to AFGHANISTAN in Jan 2002. I promoted to Cpl after this tour and was drafted to 29 Commando RA at the Citadel in Guz in the Sept of 2002 with Mr GEoff Murray as my boss! Jan 2003 saw me again deployed on Op TELIC (IRAQ) on the Forward Gun Line and thoroughly enjoyed this experience with a few close shaves! Upon return from this Op I promoted again this time to Sgt and was drafted to HAT LAnd, much to my disgust! This was a hard time after spending all my career upto this point in the Brigade with the boys who are all your family, but I had to make it work! I deployed yet again to IRAQ on Op TELIC 5 promoted to SSgt from my work there and began to enjoy my time learning my job and playing as many sports and conducting my hobbies (running, skiing) as I could. I captained the Regimental Nordiv Ski Team for 2 seasons and helped the Regiment re-role before yet again promoting to Warrant Officer Class 2 and finally receiving the posting I longed for back to the Brigade fold. In Apr 2007 I took up post as the WOESMAT within the 3 Commando Brigade RM Headquarters, of which I am part of to date. I fly to Norway next week (Jan 7th) for 3 months then deploy to Afghanistan in Late august for yet another period of hot, uncormfatable work!!!!
