Copied from event
"Details
The Special Operations Executive (SOE) also known as Churchill's Secret Army, was established by Churchill during World War 2 to train operatives and send them behind enemy lines to organise resistance. Based in Lochaber, trained operatives are widely credited with changing the course of the Second World War through their involvement in many daring and dangerous raids on enemy territory.

Gilly Halcrow is an accomplished speaker whose father, Colonel Ernest van Maurik, was an SOE veteran. We are delighted to welcome Gilly just ahead of the publication of her late father's memoirs, "Agent Paterson SOE" at the end of May.

It's certain to be another entertaining and informative evening in The Highland Bookshop and we do hope you can join us.

Tickets for this event are £7 and include a refreshment. Please drop in, email [email protected] or call 01397 705931 to reserve your ticket."

Very unlikely, just a talk in the local bookshop (which they have regularly, usually to promote a new book).
