Lance Corporal Ivor Jones No 1 Commando

I am looking for the cause of death of the above named No 1 Commando who died on the 28th August 1942 and was buried at Penycae (Salem) Baptist Chapelyard in Denbighshire. Please reply on this message with any information and the source/reference etc.

He died the day after Robert Seys of No 1 Commando also died in the UK in unknown circumstances (see separate forum message).

Pete, i'm not sure but Ivor could be one of three Commando's pictured with Idris Jones, if so Andy Maines could possibly give you some info.
Have just looked at the photo, but Ivor was not amongst the three, sorry.

Thanks Guy and Kevin. As with other requests if anyone has a copy of the No 1 Commando War Diary can they check to see if there is any further detail re the accident.
