Ian Martin has contacted me:
Could you help me, I am trying to find out where No2 SBS were
billeted when formed in 1942 under Roger Courtney in the Ardrossan/Saltcoats area.
I would be grateful if you could place an ad in your website to try and
get a response.
I am trying to find out info also on SGT NORMAN THOMPSON MM
who was in No2 SBS
kindest regards ian s martin
Sgt Thompson won his MM in the Mediterranean and served in No2 SBS as Major Courtney's partner.

Sgt Norman Thompson MM is also mentioned on page 4 of a document within our own 2 SBS gallery :
http://www.commandoveterans.org/cdoGallery/v/WW2/sbs/2sbs+history/
The citation for his award of the MM is in the book Commando Gallantry Awards of WW2 on page 77.
