Great stuff - thanks so much!
Any ideas why his number doesn't come up on a 'forces war records' or ancestry.com search?

Hello All - I'm new and probably posting in the wrong place - sorry - please put me right!
We are researching my grandfather in law. We know that he was part of the LRDG but cannot find out much information. We've quite a few pictures and letters and know that he was a driver. He was definitely in Egypt and Syria (definitely here at Christmas 1943 as we have the 'Christmas Day order of events' in the 87 Sub Area) and was working alongside Paddy Mayne for at least some of the war.
Hi name was Thomas B Griffin no - 2989323
If anyone can point us in any direction I'd be hugely appreciative - we're drawing a blank!
Best wishes, Anna
