Hello

I know that Ron Youngman has died. Does anyone know what happened to the certificates,

Asking for family member of a No 4 Commando.

Best wishes.

Bill
From family John

Just a thought for John. If Henry was "Pop" he'd have had a North East accent as he was from Sunderland, hadn't been living on Yorkshire too long before going off to war so probably wouldn't have lost the accent.

Bill
Thanks John passed that on.

It will go to the family.

Sending you a PM.

Best wishes.

Bill
Dear John

The relatives have been contacted they do not know if he was called Pops.

"Hi Bill, nobody seems to be aware of the pop nickname but perhaps that could have been something the lads referred to him as. Would be nice to think it might have been him. Would be nice to know what memories he has of No.4 in general".

If you have any memories if you record them I can pass them on.

Best wishes.

Bill
Dear John

My Dad was also kia in Flushing. I will ask a relation and get back to you.

On behalf of our No 4 Commando families and friends we are sorry to hear the sad news about Leon Gautier may he rest in peace. We give thanks for his service and for our freedom and for the way he upheld the memory of his comrades so they will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time. May they have God's richest blessing and comfort in the days to come and wonderful memories to hold forever in their hearts.
