Hi there,
I'm new to this site and have only just come across it whilst on my computer.
Reason for this post is that I'm a WW2 enthusiast with no military background, and I've just got back from Normandy to pay my respects and hopefully meet a veteran or two.
About four years ago I visited Douvres la Delivrande cemetery and was pleasantly surprised to see Jim Kelly Of 41 Royal Marine Commando recently signed into rememberance book. So as a fellow scouser I contacted him and had a couple of really interesting telephone conversations.
Anyway, I moved house and lost Jims details and didn't see him at the Bayeux cemetery service which I presumed most veterans would attend.
So, does anyone still communicate with Jim, I'd love the chance to meet him in the flesh at maybe the 75th Normandy anniversary next summer?
I've seen pics of him and his family on this site over the years.
Thanks for reading, any help appreciated.
