Dear friends
I have nearly finished the nonimal roll for No 4 Commando with great help from Nick.
Hope to give this to Pete in the New Year and can you all have a look to update and add to it.
Best wishes for 2014.

I am working on the nominal roll for No 4. The only one recorded as KIA on 2 July was John Notman.
You will enjoy the fighting fourth.

Some of 7 Manchesters were kia from 1 November to 7 November 1944 in Holland. They were buried in Biervliet then transferred to Bergen op Zoom in 1946. They may have followed the No 4 Army Commandos into Flushing with the 155th BDE contained the 4th and 5th battalion of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, and the 7/9th battalion of the Royal Scots.
Best wishes on your search.

Andrew the Dieppe report confirms his service number and that he was in the K.O.S.B before joining No4.

I still have some of these. The video was taken by Henry Brown on 8mm then transfered to a video. A very young Bill and Mum and Jean Keenan are in it. Bill

Sorry to hear of your grandfathers death. Wish you all the best in tracing his service with No 4 Commando. My Dad was kia in Flushing on 1 November 1944 and given dates your grandfather would have been there. Do you know what troop he was in? Best wishes. Bill
