Hi All

The offer of the Audio Cassette is very much appreciated as is all content for this web-site.
The overriding fact as to publication is of how relevant and important the info on them is to the wider research audience who use the site.

Bill if you can obtain and verify the content and then inform Pete if you think they fit the criteria for inclusion that would be great.

They are a very interesting artefact and I would be interested to know what they contain just from curiosity.

Best regards to all

John M

Thanks Glasowbiz
Any more info would be most welcome.
Its an ongoing mystery. Paul MacDonald has had a look at the knife and was researching further but as yet nothing new has been unearthed.
Please post any info here...and good luck.
Best regards

I met your mum on several occasions in Fort William in the early days of the CVA.
She was a very kind and beautiful lady. A wonderful artist.
She made a lasting impression on me with her supportive comments and her serene demeanour.
I am so pleased to have met and shared some time with Karin.

God Bless Karin.

Hello Tim

Welcome to the Commando Veterans Archive forum and site.

You could try the Spean Bridge Hotel museum. They have quite a large number of artefacts donated by former veterans.

Our man Bill Harvey is a curator there and when he sees your message I am sure he will help if he can.

Good luck

John Mewett

Taken from a post on Facebook ....from Sue....Billy's Daughter.
From Sue: Sadly my dad, Bill passed away on Friday evening in his anyone that knew him he was a hugely loved, charismatic man with a real zest for life.....but at 92yrs young and almost 10yrs this month, after my mum, Rose died...he has finally given up on life and gone to meet her 😇 Gone but never forgotten Dad.... your memory lives on in ours

RIP Billy
A gentleman....and true Commando.
RIP Edmund.
I absolutely agree on all points Pete.....

A beautiful set of books to own....I hope many will support this project and purchase one for themselves.....apart from the good they will do ..this is going to be a much sort after work.

All power to it .
