Yes, but have no idea how to upload them.
On 26th April in Sandwich, Kent there will be a Ceremony to unveil a new Memorial to
Col Newman, organized by the local Mayor. It will be in St Peter's Church, invitation only,
but also a Parade in the town.

** 27th April 2018; lovely day, lovely event, well attended. Lots of family members, veterans
and Military Standards. The new Plaque is by the West Door, ground level. His previous memorial
was a tree ( felled in the great storm 1980's) so this is far more appropriate.
On Saturday 11th November 2017 the CVA London Branch has organized a small Service and Wreath laying
in the CLOISTERS in Westminster Abbey at 2.00 by the Commando Memorial. All Commandos, family and friends welcome.
The 74th Anniversary lunch was held again in the Union Jack Club. It was well attended but, alas, only one Old Boy, General Corran Purden was able to attend; so the end is in sight. (Apparently, 13 Veterans died in the last year). Next year, 2017, is the 75th Anniversary and the CVA hopes to arrange a coach over to St Nazaire.
Well, I booked successfully on 2nd August for the Sunday.
Please see the info I posted re Lamsdorf Day (18 Oct 2015) under Other Events - might be included in next Newsletter ?? Ev

On Sat 21 March 2015, the 73rd Anniversary Lunch of the St Nazaire Raid was held in the Union Jack Club, Waterloo.
Three Veterans were able to be there (the least number so far); "Tiger" Watson, Steven Barney (RN) and Corran Purden.
Mrs "Dizzy" Roderick (whose brother and husband were on the Raid) was also present, as was the French President of the St Nazaire Society.
About 60 people attended, and a jolly time was had by all.
Yes, well, Geoffrey Murray is a Scottish enough name - you could ponce about in a kilt if you wanted. Ev 8)
