I had the honour of being introduced to HRH at the unveiling of the Alrewas memorial.

It was a day to remember.

May he rest in peace.

What a great life Major Langlands lived , and to a great age.

May he rest in peace.

Condolences to all his family and many friends.
Thanks Janet..much appreciated.
Best wishes

Rest in Peace Vera
It was a pleasure to have known the Brigadier.

Heartfelt condolences to all Jacks family and friends.

Rest well Jack
Hi Pete
Thanks for this. I have his private diary which was privately published and sent to me by a relation some years ago, Its a small hardback book.
It does mention he was in 10Cdo and seconded to the Paras.
He took part in a couple of Ops with No 10 but it doesn't mention which they were.

He seems an interesting character.

best regards

Can anyone supply me info on the above named .

The information I have (his personal diary ) a private publication says detached from 10 Commando.

But I cannot confirm that.

Thanks in advance

John M
We (this site) now have 200+ Volumes of Commando and related publications listed in our newly uploaded Commando Library under 'Publications' on the side menu.

The task goes on. I have received several messages of appreciation for making this resource available.

It is our pleasure...Thanks
Best regards

Hi Everyone

We are continuing to add volumes daily to the new 'Commando Library and it is proving very popular which makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks and regards

John M
That's great Eileen ..thanks..

Yes we have some very interesting volumes to list many from the 40's-50.s and personal accounts etc.

you will have fun tracking them down...try WWW.Abebooks.com if you can't get elsewhere.

yes you could put up swaps and so forth on here in General Topics although I suggest when you find a willing swapper you use PM's or emails to correspond with each other.

Thanks for your reply.

Regards
