Does this sound familiar to anyone? My father served in N. Africa fought at El Alemein and volunteered for Commandos. Did his training near the Gulf of Aquaba on the Red Sea at a place sounds like Djebel Marjon or Marion? I have seen this place on an old map of the Sinai Peninsula. He was in the Italian Campaign landing on Sicily, Salerno and Anzio and spent sometime training a group of Italian Parisans. Do not know which Commando he was with or how to get more information.
