I thought we should include an entry about Matthew Croucher who was awarded the George Cross. Matthew was in the Royal Marines Reserve serving in Helmand Province, Afghanistan as a reconnaissance operator in 40 Commando Group?s Commando Reconnaissance Force. Here is the link to his picture and the London Gazette entry detailing the award of the George Cross:
