Lieutenant George Arthur Knowland VC [more....].
No.1 Commando
Killed in action 31 January 1945.

Lance Corporal Henry Eric Harden VC [more....].
45 Royal Marine Commando, RM
Killed in action 23 January 1945.

and all those who died or suffered life changing injuries [Commando Roll of Honour]
Pete Rogers, son of LSgt Joe Rogers MM & nephew of TSM Ken McAllister. Both No2 Commando.
God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.

Thanks Pete...both remembered with honour.

Lt Knowland VC particularly for me, as my father served with him on Hill 170 in 4 Troop No 1 Cdo.

A special time of year for me.
