I?m really having problems finding out anything about my Dad?s RMC service. I know he held the Kings Badge, saw active service in Malaya and the Sinai peninsula. He also spoke about being one of the youngest allied servicemen to witness the signing of the Japanese surrender. He was also Batman to Casper John, Admiral of the Fleet .At some time during 1950 onwards I believe he was a member of the SBS and was, I think, Sergeant/Instructor of small arms at Lympstone. Anyone who knew him or knew of him, I am desperate to fill in the many ?blanks? that he left behind.

Hi Christopher

To get the widest possible circulation you should consider also making your request, if you have not already done so, on the RM Historical Society Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/254966255514729/
or alternatively contact them here: https://www.rmhistoricalsociety.org/

Providing his full name would be helpful.

Check out how to make an application for a copy of a service record here:
