This photo of the grave of the above named was with two others provided to us by James Walton. They all died on the 12th September 1944 during operations at Le Havre, France, and are buried at Sanvic Communal Cemetery located on the outskirts of Le Havre. The two others are Royal Marines from 30 Commando Assault Unit. There is no evidence that Private Ronald Leah was a Commando and his Battalion was involved in the attack at Le Havre at this time. However as we have the photo I am posting it here in his memory.

In Memory of 14422149 Private Ronald Leah

God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
