I would love to know if anyone has stories or knew my cousins? Sadly Edward ?Eddy? Cardozo died on D-Day. From what I was told he was back to back with his brother Cyril when killed on the landing craft.
Cyril was a good swimmer so also carried a bike on his back to ride into town.
I think they were all in 3 Commando, but were trained in the para?s too, any info would be lovely, thank you!

Hello Tanya

We do have an entry in our Roll of Honour which I have slightly amended today for Private Edward Albert Cardozo https://www.commandoveterans.org/EdwardAlbertCardozo3Commando

We also have an entry in our No.3 Commando Nominal Roll and Obituaries (from which I have today added another page in our main archive) for Gunner Frederick Cardozo here https://www.commandoveterans.org/FrederickCardozo_3Commando

There was also a Forum message a few years back from Darren, the grandson of Frederick, which sadly seems to have been not replied to so I have included it here: https://forum.commandoveterans.org/cdoForum/posts/list/5379.page

We have no information on Cyril, but we know our nominal rolls are not complete. Do you have additional photos of any of the brothers and can you provide any detail of Cyril being in the Commandos as well ?

Pete
