I am looking for any information on this man who died of wounds on 8 June 1944. The CWGC record shows no reference to any Commando service however the Casualty Lists show Att. Commando. I am trying to discover the nature of any attachment.

God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
