This is the 65th year since the landing at and liberation of Flushing spearheaded by No4 Commando. I have received the following information for those who are interested in going:-
Dear Mr. Harvey,

Mr Dewitte send your e-mail (February 04)to me.
The reason is,that I am doing the intake.
Commemorations are from Thursday 29 October till Thursday 5 November.
Commemoration in Vlissingen is on Tuesday 3 November in the morning.
I hope you will understand in this early stage changes are still possible.

Kind Regards,

Frans de Nooyer

If you are going I can pass your names on to Frans.

Best wishes.

Bil Harvey

I have now received the programme for Flushing and Zeeland commemorations.
It would be wonderful if any of No4 Commando could attend.
I have ordered a wreath for No4 as usual which shall be laid in Flushing.

Thanks Bill,

This would be a great opportunity for serving Army Commandos to attend as there are so few of No 4 Commando able to do so.

Any takers from the Commando Gunners, Sappers or Loggies?

Bill,
My father, Dennis Cooper 1 troop 4 Commando, is sorry that he is unable to make the trip due to age etc. but has asked that you pass on his best wishes to everyone there.
I hope all goes well and weather will be better than on November 1st 1944 ! Best regards,
Peter
